This two-day session brings together presenters, farmers, and industry personnel that are passionate about raising the bar in farming. Join us on Tuesday, July 23rd and Wednesday, July 24th as we focus on fielding a championship team and what you can do to ensure a win. This packed two-day event strives to give you hands on and applicable knowledge. This two day event will cover both corn and soybeans and will have classroom sessions and outdoor hands on sessions. For the event, we will be applying for continued education credits (CEUs) for those that need them for the Certified Crop Adviser program. Join us for a private tour of Talley Farms where we will go behind the scenes of their farming & produce packing operations. Learn what and how Talley Farms Fresh Harvest is growing some of the tastiest groceries in the county! Back at the packing shed you will join Barbara Hartley of Hartley Farms where you will discover how to take the season’s freshest berries and turn them into tasty jams & pies. All workshop materials, a jar of farm crafted jam and a tasty locally grown lunch is included.

The 2019 Acres U.S.A. Healthy Soil Summit will gather growers for intensive learning on strategies to create over-all farm resilience, starting from the soil up.
The program will consist of an optional half-day farm tour and one and a half days of sessions on successful farm management strategies as well as time to engage with speakers and fellow attendees to build business relationships and peer networks.
Between 8 and 10 CEU’s will be offered at the Summit.
Expert speakers with expert advise on proven methods for creating healthy, productive soil will include John Kempf, Pam Marrone, Glen Rabenberg and Gary Zimmer to name a few.
17 companies will be on hand to answer questions and speak from experience on addressing challenges and reducing risk to drive whole-farm success.

The Center for Irrigation Technology will host it’s annual, Innovations in Ag Irrigation Technology Demonstration and Showcase on November 15, 2019! This event brings together the latest in irrigation and water management technologies, highlighted by exhibitor displays in the WET Center as well as a tour of the University Farm Laboratory. Exhibitors will have the chance to showcase their innovative irrigation products and speak directly to the attendees.
Attendees will board buses to move between 3 different stops on the farm. Additionally, there will be time to meet vendors who are offering products and services designed to improve your water management decision making. You will be able to see many of these technologies installed and operated on the University Farm, giving participants the opportunity to learn about their benefits and see them in action. Factory Representatives will be available to demonstrate and/or discuss how these products are used and the potential benefits.
